[comp.parallel] Massively Parallel Computing Initiative at LLNL

brooks@maddog.llnl.gov (09/18/89)

Please forgive me in advance for a job related posting to comp.parallel.

I am polling for people who might be interested in working in software tool
development to support parallel codes. We are starting an initiative in
massively parallel computing at LLNL and need a few good men or women. We
will be developing software on a scalable architecture possessing more than
100 processors which support both local and shared memory. We need to
support parallel extensions of C and Fortran in a shared memory environment
along with hypercube style message passing systems. We will also be
looking at the use of C++ in a highly parallel environment. We need
talented tool development staff. The parallel machine resource we are
acquiring is a UNIX system and we will be using X terminals to connect to it.

Anyone interested in participating in leading edge parallel computing
effort should contact me at brooks@maddog.llnl.gov, brooks@maddog.UUCP
or (415)423-7341. I can give you much more detail as to who we are,
where we are at, and what we will be doing privately.
