We are seeking a group leader for the Computer Research Group at LLNL. The Group is doing research in various aspects of parallel computation: the implementation of an applicative language (SISAL) in a multiprocessor environment; development of a programming environment for developing parallel applications; the extraction of parallelism from laboratory applications and techniques for expressing this parallelism; evaluation of the performance of new computer architectures. The Group will be working with a 100+ processor system to arrive in 1990. The group leader is expected to perform research in the general area of parallel computation, provide technical direction for the group, and deal with group administration.
