JOB OPPORTUNITIES AT THE NATIONAL INSTITUTES OF HEALTH The Division of Computer Research and Technology, National Institutes of Health is recruiting for two positions to be filled by talented Electronics Engineers, Computer Engineers, or Computer Scientists. NIH, a federal government agency and world-renowned biomedical research institution, offers exciting career opportunities with distinctive advantages: an outstanding working environment with excellent facilities and resources, the opportunity to work in an institution where the fight to defeat disease and improve man's health is paramount, and the opportunity to remain at the forefront of computer technology. UNIX Systems Administration and Programming This position is for system administration and software engineering assignments involving the development, implementation, and deployment of Advanced Laboratory Workstations. The successful candidate will install, configure, test, and deploy systems software on a variety of powerful 32-bit UNIX workstations used in laboratory and scientific computing. Future opportunity exists to develop, evaluate, modify, and port software for application areas such as interactive graphics, network communications, distributed filesystems, molecular modelling, and desktop publishing. This position requires experience with UNIX. Experience with networks, C/C++ programming language, or X Window System is desirable.
