Does any one know when the SSD(Printer Busy) lead changes state? I have my software set up to check the status of this lead, but the printer still messes up at 1200 baud. The problem becomes evident when the line length is more than about 40 to 50 characters. The printer prints the long line and one or two lines after it, then misses the first few (up to the whole line) characters of the second or third line following. The book that came with it says the printer prints when a CR is received . I take this to mean that it has an internal buffer of at least 132 chars and the SSD lead would change state when this buffer is full and no CR has been received or just when the buffer is full. However, I can't figure out what happens to this buffer when a CR is received and data is still coming in. Any help would be appreciated. Mail to me at ...we13!plw. Thanks. Pete Wilson ...we13!plw
