Since the new net.icro.atari opened up, my friend sez "so are you going to start a .coco group for TRS-80 color computer users?" No, but may I suggest that .atari be broadened (and maybe renamed) to include ALL personal computers that are under $800 and oriented (officially) towards color graphics, sound, and games? (But for the price, this would include the Apple). It does include Coco, Atari's, Commodores (V-20 & 64), and the Sinclair Spectrum when it hits the USA. I think all us owners of the aboves have many of the same problems (software, CHEAP hardware solutions to RAM, disks, etc) and could also share ideas on color graphics, animation tricks, etc etc. It should be easy to modify a BASIC program for any of these machines to work with another (well, wait till I try it.. anyone else tried say, pathicng an Atari program from a magazine to run on a V-20, etc?). You non-Coco types all have 6502's so could even swap machine code. Post flames, etc to the net, por favor. De Colores ... mike k

net.micro is not so cluttered that *everybody* needs a sub-group. There was just interest enough in Atari to start this sub.group, and if there is enough interest in Color Computer, for instance, then maybe there should be a coco newsgroup.... Glenn Reid

Please remember that there is still net.micro.zx, for all sinclair computers including the spectrum when it arrives. Or is it still there? Hasn't been any news for weeks. Are there any sinclair owners still out there? Will D. sdcsvax!sdchema!will

Hi Bill, There is another group which handles the Sinclair. It is INFO-ZX at CMU-20C. If you would like to have your name placed on the mailing list just send your request to INFO-ZX-REQUEST@CMU-20C. CMU has changed the names of all systems so you might have to use the new name which is CMU-CS-C. Thanks, Ed DeHart -------

Ed, I sent my request for having my name put on the mailing list, but only after having a short argument with the computer. So I am not even sure it will get there. I included a note asking about how to access it. A unix-wizard I'm not. Do you just use the normail 'readnews'? Thankee much, Will P.S. Do you have a Sinclair?
