[comp.parallel] blocked triangular solve on paralle machines

ghosh-bhaskar@CS.YALE.EDU (Bhaskar Ghosh) (07/13/90)

Hallo.

Anybody out there has a good parallel program for Dense Triangular Solve
(in FORTRAN or C) up and running on any/some/all of the machines like
Symmetry, Encore Multimax, iPsc ? i need it to compare with some C-Linda
code that i wrote to do the same. Of course the programs i am looking for
should not be based on the Tuple space model but coded for the related machine
specifically.

It would be nice of the algorithms implemented were block based - i.e.
the smallest unit of the matrix moved around was a block. I would
also like to get pointers to papers that list the efficiencies of
these algorithms on these machines.

Of course i could stop being lazy and code them up myself ! but then,....

mail kind replies to ghosh@cs.yale.edu please.

thanks in advance,

- bhashu.
