bal@cs.vu.nl (Bal Henri) (08/14/90)

On September 3-7, prof. Robert Hummel (New York University) and
prof. Susan Flynn Hummel (IBM T.J. Watson and Polytechnic Univ., New York)
will present a comprehensive course on parallel computing. The course is
organized by the Dutch "Academie voor Informatica" and will be held in
Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

The course covers both academic topics and specific ``how-to'' information.
Topics examined include parallel architectures, algorithms, languages,
and software systems.

Participants should have some background in computer science, and interest
in high-performance computing or parallel computing theory.
Researchers and scientists will receive an intensive introduction to
parallel computing. Purchasers and management officials will learn
about the practicality and potential of innovative parallel systems.
There is a fee for course attendance.
