I have investigated the possiblity of buying a number
of C64s at a discount. A dealer in Pennsyslvania is willing
to sell the base machine and any peripheral equipment for
a ten percent dicount to each buyer if at least 7 machines
are purchased. This brings the price of the C64 down to
$535. I believe that we have at least 6 purchasers in New
Jersey that are going to buy. This store will ship anywhere
in the country as long as the buyer pays the shipping costs.
Note: Most dealers will not discount at all. Apparantly
Commodore has stopped dealing with stores that they found
were discounting. I think this is a good buy. I have 1 other
store getting back to me with prices. On Friday Dec. 3 a
group of people from BTL is going to the PA store to get
a demo. Barring any negative impressions, I think most will
buy. If anyone else in net land wants this ten percent
discount, I suggest that you call me for the details.

3 PM on 12/3 because after that the ten percent discount may
be off. Let me note that only one response to the previous
article was negative. The vast majority of people were
interested in either buying one or getting more info.
I have some more info that I can give you over the phone, and
if the response warrants, I can put it out on the net even
though it may be rather lengthy. This message is already longer
than most people will want to read, so if you seriously desire
more info, or are ready to buy, please call.
