The system consists of four Zip3232 array processors from Mercury Computer Systems housed in a Multibus I cardcage. The system attaches to an MS-DOS AT-bus based host via an adapter cable and card set. Software can be developed either on a standalone DOS-based machine using the simulator or can be tested directly on the hardware using Mercury's Interact development tool. Two custom memory boards developed at UNC-Chapel Hill which allow the Zips to be configured in a pipeline are also included.
