I was told that some kind of oil (or polymer) is used to coat the surfaces of diskettes to protect them from wear and tear. How does the oil coating accomplish this? What kind of oil is used? Is the oil toxic? Do the surfaces need to be coated frequently? Does the oil protect the surface or the disk head? Thanks and sorry to bother those of you who are not interested. Willie -------
