I am posting this for a colleague of mine (M Sasikumar,

If you have problems responding to his mail address, I would

Hi,

    Happy new year to all....

I am looking for some measurement statistics on characteristics
of typical Prolog programs (like characteristics measured for sequential
languages for the RISC implementations by Katavenis). The idea is
to collect information such as average complexity of procedures,
typical arity of procedures, typical length of a clause etc.
Does anybody know of any such work done in the Prolog area? Also are
there any reasonable application programs written in Prolog available in
the public domain? This is to make such analysis based on program code
in use rather than demos or case studies.

Any references, suggestions, pointers etc will be highly appreciated.
Please e-mail them to me at:

      or at
      vigyan!vidya!sasi@shakti.ernet.in

 Thanks in advance....
