I have recently been checking into two different distributed programming environments called Isis and DCE and I'm interested in comments anyone may have. According to the Isis paper it is freely available and an email address is included. I sent mail to the address but have yet to get a response. Does anyone have experience using Isis for distributed programming? If so I would like to ask you detailed questions. DCE is a system from OSF but I have not been able to get any technical information on it. Mostly what I have is in the form of various OSF press releases. Can anyone give me pointers to real technical information about DCE? Has anone had any actual experience using it?
