                  FIRST INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE

                             of the

                         AUSTRIAN CENTER
                    FOR PARALLEL COMPUTATION


                  September 30 - October 2, 1991
                        Salzburg, Austria

The Austrian Center for Parallel Computation (ACPC) is a co-operative
research organization founded in 1989 to promote research and education in
the field of software for parallel computer systems.

The first international conference of the ACPC will take place at the
University of Salzburg and is intended as a forum for both researchers and
practitioners in the field.

We invite sumbmissions of papers presenting original research in topics
including the following areas:

   * Algorithms
   * Languages
   * Compilers
   * Programming Environments
   * Applications

for parallel computation including high-performance computing.

Contributors are invited to send five copies of a full paper not exceeding
12 pages in English to

Submissions must arrive before March 1, 1991.

Authors will be notified of acceptance or rejection by May 15, 1991.

The final versions of accepted papers must arrive in camera-ready form
before June 30, 1991, to ensure the availability of the proceedings at the
conference.

The proceedings will most probably be published in the Springer Verlag
Series Lecture Notes in Computer Science.
