Announcement and CALL FOR applications and/or abstracts for

		NATO Advanced Study Institute
		
 PARALLEL COMPUTING ON DISTRIBUTED MEMORY MULTIPROCESSORS

   July 1--12, 1991  Bilkent University, Ankara - TURKEY


OBJECTIVE OF THIS INSTITUTE

  This ASI will be a series of advanced level lectures on recent
developments in the areas of parallel algorithms, architectures, 
data/object decomposition schemes, fault-tolerance, compiler
techniques and parallel programming environments for massively
parallel computers.   
  Papers may be submitted for a limited number of contributed
paper sessions on any of these areas. The program also includes lectures on
the latest massively parallel computer projects in Europe and the U.S.
There will be poster and panel sessions to provide an intellectually 
stimulating forum for the students and the lecturers in
the area of parallel computing and to emphasize areas of future research.

Lecturers of this institute are the scientists and the experts eminent
in the field of parallel computing from NATO countries.

APPLICATIONS

School is open to a limited number of advanced graduate students and
fresh Ph.D.'s. Living expenses of participants are covered by NATO. 
A limited number of travel grants are also available for some
participants from NATO countries. To be considered for a financial
grant, applicants must send a resume along with a letter of
recommendation from the head of the department or from the
dissertation advisor by 

	NO LATER THAN     MARCH 30, 1991

The award notifications will be mailed by May 15, 1991.
