c Speaking of the MPX-16: somebody was ranting at me the other day about Steve Ciarcia and Byte. The claim was that Steve used to be paid by Byte magazine to write these sort of simple hardware project articles, and at some point he started selling his projects. Now, apparently, he uses Byte as an advertising and marketing service to his kits. If this is actually true, it seems extremely unethical on the part of Byte magazine, and rather fortunate for Steve. If it isn't (true), I'm sure I'll hear about it. Mark Mallett

c Change "Stever" to "Steve", as I'm sure you already have.

Steve sells kits or not!! I have found his articles to be one of the highlights of BYTE, and would be most upset if they were stopped. I think that most readers of BYTE agree with me, as shown by the BOMB results over the last few years. Sharad Singhal

I would not mind hearing the real story too... he seems to win their $100 bomb box quite often too... seems to me that should be for the one time contributor/hacker, not someone on the payroll. --Ray

The first line on the last article by me should read.. I don't care whether Steve sells kits or not.... Sorry for the goof-up. Sharad Singhal
