vME Crate to Q-bus DRQ11 DMA interface problem ---------------------------------------------- I have a VME Crate which I am attempting to interface to a VAXStation 3200 (Q-Bus). The "recommended" manner is a module called an HVR-8217 (made by Creative Electronic Systems - CES) sitting in the VME Crate connected to a DEC DRQ11 DMA interface in the 3200. It appears, however, that the DRQ11 is now obsolete! It is definitely not supported by VMS, and may not even be produced by DEC anymore (no one at DEC seems to know, or at least they won't tell me). Does anyone out there have a similar system? - and if so, how do you hook up the DMA interface between the HVR8217 and the Q Bus? Alternatively, does anyone know of a different VME Interface that can be used. I have a DRV11W, and would be hapy if I could somehow interface that to my VME Crate to handle the DMA transfer.
