                               Special Issue
                                    on
Neural Computing on Massively Parallel Processors

Papers are solicited for a special issue of the Journal of Parallel and
Distributed Computing (JPDC) to be published in March 1992. The special issue
will focus on the design and implementation of massively parallel processors for
neural computation and on mapping techniques of neural computing models onto
massively parallel architectures suitable for very large neural models.

The aim of the special issue is to offer a platform for researchers in the areas
of neural computing and massively parallel processors to present their work to
the wider research community.

Topics of interest include, but not limited to, the following aspects:

(1) Massively parallel processing architectures for neural computation
(2) Mapping techniques of neural computing models onto massively parallel
      processors
(3) Neural computing applications on massively parallel processors
(4) Benchmark experiments

Authors should follow the (JPDC) manuscript format as described in the
Information for Authors at the end of each issue of the Journal. Submit five
copies of a complete manuscript to the guest editor. Submissions must be
received no later than April 1, 1991. Authors will be notified of final
publication decision by September 1, 1991.
