Announcement and CALL FOR applications and/or abstracts for

		NATO Advanced Study Institute
		
 PARALLEL COMPUTING ON DISTRIBUTED MEMORY MULTIPROCESSORS

   July 1--12, 1991  Bilkent University, Ankara - TURKEY


OBJECTIVE OF THIS INSTITUTE

  This ASI will be a series of advanced level lectures on recent
developments in the areas of parallel algorithms, architectures, 
data/task decomposition schemes, fault-tolerance, compiler
techniques and parallel programming environments for massively
parallel computers.   
	Papers may be submitted for a limited number of contributed
paper sessions on any of these areas. The program also includes lectures on
the latest massively parallel computer projects in Europe and the U.S.
There will be poster and panel sessions to provide an intellectually 
stimulating forum for the students and the lecturers in
the area of parallel computing and to emphasize areas of future research.

in the field of parallel computing, from NATO countries.

APPLICATIONS

The ASI is open to a limited number of advanced graduate students and
recent Ph.D.'s from all countries. Living expenses of all student
participants will be covered by NATO. 

A limited number of travel grants are also available for the student
participants from all countries INCLUDING CENTRAL AND EASTERN EUROPEAN
COUNTRIES. 

The National Science Foundation will provide travel support for
selected U.S. participants (only U.S. citizens and permanent residents
are eligible). To be considered for a grant, applicants must send a
resume along with a letter of recommendation from their department
head or from the dissertation advisor by 

      NO LATER THAN  APRIL 2, 1991

The award notifications will be mailed by May 15, 1991.
