[comp.parallel] PRAM references

harris@castle.edinburgh.ac.uk (T J Harris) (03/29/91)

I'm looking for references on theoretical models of parallel
computation, eg. PRAMs.

Specifically I'm interested in modifications to the PRAM model
that allow it to take into account aspects such as asynchrony
or network contention. I'm also concerned with the cost of simulating
PRAM algorithms on more realistic machines.

Recent or hard to find papers are of particular interest to me, as well as
up to date information on who is working in this field. I will post a
summary of responses if it seem appropriate.
