It is a little early to think about the 1992 ISCA (International Symposium on Computer Architecture) but the Call for Papers just went to the printers so I felt it would be helpful for comp.arch and comp.parallel readers to get an early look now that the words are official. See you in Australia, Allan Gottlieb NY University Program Chair 1992 ISCA __________________________________________________ .sp |.5i Five copies of a double-spaced manuscript, in English, and not exceeding 6000 words in length, should be sent to the Program Chair. Papers will be accepted for consideration until \fB1 November 1991\fP. A single cover sheet should be included which contains: paper title, full names, affiliations, complete addresses, and phone numbers of the authors, as well as a 100 to 150 word abstract and a list of up to five keywords. E-mail addresses should be included if available. A poster session will be organized. Unless specified otherwise, it will be assumed that papers submitted are to be considered for both oral and poster presentation, with oral presentation preferred. Authors should indicate other preferences in their cover letters. \fIBecause the identity of authors will not be revealed to the referees, authors' names and affiliations must appear only on the cover sheet. Authors must avoid references and citations that compromise anonymity.\fP Notification of acceptance for both oral and poster presentation will be mailed by 20 January 1992. Authors of papers accepted for oral presentation will be requested to submit a final, camera-ready copy by 6 March 1992 for inclusion in the proceedings. Authors of papers accepted for poster presentation will be notified by the poster chair by 15 April 1992 of final arrangements. The symposium will be held 19-21 May 1992. Papers are solicited on any aspects of Computer Architecture. Topic areas include, but are not limited to, .in +1i .sp .nf \(bu Novel architectures and computing techniques \(bu Multiprocessors, multicomputers, and distributed architectures \(bu Superscalar, Superpiplined, and VLIW processors \(bu Very-high performance architectures \(bu Massively parallel architectures \(bu Non-numeric architectures \(bu Technology impact on architecture \(bu Language and operating systems support \(bu Application-specific architectures \(bu Optical architectures \(bu Performance evaluation and measurement \(bu Memory systems .fi .sp .in -1i As always, papers will be judged on their scientific merit and anticipated interest to conference attendees. It is understood that papers in new areas are likely to contain less quantitative evaluations and comparisons than those in more established areas. As in previous years, a series of tutorials and workshops will be held immediatelly preceding and/or following the symposium. Tutorial proposals will be accepted until \fB22 November 1991\fP; workshop proposals will be accepted until \fB1 October 1991\fP. If you wish to organize a full or 1/2 day tutorial, please send to the Tutorials Chair five copies of a detailed proposal, including tutorial title, outline, brief description of topics to be covered, intended audience, assumed attendee background, and the name(s), affiliation(s), and resume(s) of the speaker(s). If you wish to organize a workshop, please send to the Workshops Chair five copies of a detailed proposal, including workshop title, description of its scope, list of invited participants, and name(s) and affiliation(s) of the organizer(s). .nf Program Chair: Allan Gottlieb NYU Ultracomputer Laboratory 715 Broadway, Tenth Floor New York NY 10003 USA email: gottlieb@nyu.edu Workshops Chair: Lubomir Bic Department of Information and Computer Science Univeristy of California Irvine CA 92717 USA email: bic@ics.uci.edu Tutorials Chair: Edward Lee 507 Cory Hall EECS Department University of California Berkeley CA 94720 USA email: eal@joel.berkeley.edu Poster Chair: Walid Najjar Department of Computer Science Colorado State University Fort Collins CO 80523 USA email: najjar@cs.colostate.edu General Co-Chairs: David Abramson and Jean-Luc Gaudiot CSIRO, Australia and University of Southern California, USA Registration Chair: R.
