IPPS `92 Call for Papers

Sixth International Parallel Processing Symposium
March 23-26, 1992 - Beverly Hilton - Beverly Hills, California

Sponsored by: IEEE Computer Society In cooperation with: ACM SIGARCH

The sixth annual International Parallel Processing Symposium is a
forum for engineers and scientists throughout the world to share
current developments in all aspects of parallel and distributed
processing. Along with invited and submitted papers, IPPS `92 will
offer poster sessions, tutorials, commercial exhibits, workshops and a
Parallel Systems Fair. In 1992, the symposium is sponsored by the
IEEE Computer Society and will be held in cooperation with ACM SIGARCH
and the Orange County Chapter of the IEEE Computer Society. The
Program Committee welcomes all work which will contribute to the
state-of-the-art. Papers should demonstrate original unpublished
research including the development of experimental or commercial
systems. The topics of interest include but are not limited to the
following:

Parallel & Distributed Algorithms	Parallelizing Compilers
Performance Modeling & Evaluation	Special Purpose Processors
Interconnection Networks Neural Networks
Signal & Image Processing Systems	Fault Tolerance
Parallel Architectures Parallel Languages
Programming Environments Mapping & Scheduling

SUBMITTING PAPERS: All papers will be reviewed. Send five (5) copies
of complete paper (not to exceed 15 single spaced, single sided
pages). Manuscripts must be received by September 16, 1991. Due to
the large number of anticipated submissions, manuscripts postmarked
later than September 15, 1991 will not be considered. (Post overseas
submissions air mail.) Notification of review decisions will be
mailed by December 13, 1991. Camera ready papers are due January 17,
1992. Proceedings will be available at symposium. Submit manuscripts
to:
Dr. Viktor Prasanna, IPPS `92 Program Chair
Dept. of Electrical Engineering-Systems, EEB 244
	University of Southern California
	Los Angeles, CA 90089-2562

WORKSHOP: The 1992 symposium will include a workshop on Heterogeneous
Processing. To obtain further information about participation in this
event, contact Dr. Richard Freund, Naval Ocean Systems Center, at
619-553-4071 or at FREUND@NOSC.MIL.

PARALLEL SYSTEMS FAIR: As a new feature, IPPS `92 invites participation
in a one day Parallel Systems Fair which will feature current parallel
systems under development or available at academic, industrial and
research lab sites. To be considered for inclusion in this program,
submit a proposal (not to exceed 3 single spaced pages) to Commercial
Exhibits Chair by November 1, 1991. Also, companies interested in
exhibiting their products should contact the Commercial Exhibits Chair.
