I am in the process of designing a structured document creation and display set of utilities for on-line documentation of my software products and more general Amiga "electronic publishing". I would like the data formats of the files used to conform as much as possible to existing standards. I have read the IFF FTXT documentation and am wondering if any further development of this standard has been done. Specifically, has there been any work on defining the standard method for specifying text positioning? If not, I will have to design my own IFF chunks to achieve this; I will have to do some of this anyway to provide a graph structure on the document and specify gadget size and location for moving between graph nodes, activating 8SVX sounds or ANIM animations, etc. Has this work been done already by anyone? Would anybody be interested in working on the specification of such a standard (seems to be all the rage these days) for Amiga electronic publishing?
