[comp.sys.amiga.tech] computer stereoscopy

We are getting a little distracted by this talk of stereoscopy; nevertheless,
I reply to the note that perhaps warned me that I was looking at the images
in reverse relationship by crossing my eyes. I don't cross my eyes.
I un-cross them, as my note said. I trick my eyes to triangulate as though
looking off in the distance, but focus a couple feet away. Therefore,
the directions the eyes look are almost parallel. In fact, the early
version of my little program was rotating the object in the wrong direction.
This was hard to notice in a wire-frame drawing of sine oscillations
in each axis until I added pin-hole camera geometry perspective to project
the image on the screen; then it was clear I had to fix the rotation.
In short, I use my eyes without a viewer to establish exactly the same
result as a less talented person with a viewer.
