[comp.sys.amiga.tech] TD_RAWREAD & Length error

I need some help in using the trackdisk TD_RAWREAD function - I'm working
with a routine someone else started, and havent been able to get past 
an IOERR of -4 (invalid length). I've tried different lengths, turning
the index sync bit on and off, all to no avail. It's not clear to me 
exactly what length is being complained about; the operation starts, the
disk spins up, but all I get back in the IO request block is this nasty
little -4!!
