I am working with lattice 4.0 and trying to get it to read and write files which contain Doubles. I have tried to use every combination of read, write, scan, etc with no luck. I have not been able to even get scanf to read anything including simple 1 character fields. Could someone please help me with this problem. I need to know if I am doing something wrong or if there is that much of a hole in the Lattice product. I would also be interested in the Lattice fixes. I have down loaded them but the file has an error when it is de-arced so I have not had a chance to apply them. Do these fixes have anything to do with scan or double conversions ? I would appreciate any help or experience you have had in getting around these problems. Thank you. You didn't provide examples of what you're doing, but the usual
problem with scanf/printf/etc. and floating point is that you need to
link with the correct library - either the lcmffp.lib or lcm.lib. Try
"lc -Lm file.c" (ieee) or "lc -Lf file.c" (ffp).

There's almost always trailing garbage on the end of arc files
downloaded from the Lattice BBS. Ignore it, and use the files as is.

I don't recall. Why don't you try mailing me (or posting) some of your
attempts, including the commands you use to compile/link them, and
then I'll have a chance of saying what you're doing wrong.
