[comp.sys.amiga.tech] APL.68000 + assembly

mjw@f.gp.cs.cmu.edu (Michael Witbrock) (08/19/88)

I got APL 68000. It is an excellent product, and great for rapid prototyping
of neural net stuff.

BUT it's graphics interface to the amiga has some serious holes in in
which make it difficult to do displays. For example, it allows you
to put resize gadgets on windows, but has no apparent mechanism for a
program to find out what the current size of a window is.

I would also like to add some fast array oriented bitmap output things.

Does anyone understand the mechanism for adding assembly (or preferably,
C) routines to APL 68000? There is a brief description in the manual, but it
is more or less entirely opaque. What I need are a few examples which are
known to work.

Someone out there must have added an assembly function to APL 68000.

Thanks in advance.
Michael
