I am posting this for a friend, but I have a vested interest in it's outcome.... The setup: An Amiga 500 with 1meg, external drive and a Progen. I believe he has a 1084 monitor. The Problem: When the Progen is used, and external video is fed in, we are getting subtle bars (shadows) across the computer generated portion of the video. The "live" portion is not affected. When a solid background is used, the bars appear across all of it. The A500 is normally part of an SVHS editing system, but even when the Progen is fed video directly from a camera, the problem surfaces. The Progen is fine, since we have tried it with my 2000. In fact, it looks damn nice for what it costs. We both have come to the conclusion that is something strange about the A500's RGB output in relation to the 2000, since the A500's composite output looks fine. Any suggestions would be appreciated. We would both like to get down to serious work with this setup. --hal hgm@ncsuvx.ncsu.edu netoprhm@ncsuvm.bitnet
