I've got a short question that only needs a short answer. :-) Does the A2090A support more than 8 heads? I know that the A2090 does not, but there was some talk about the A2090A supporting more than 8. I'd like to know because I've got a Seagate ST4096 hooked up to my A2090A. Its a fast (28 mS) 80 meg drive (9 heads, 1024 cylinders, 17 sectors) but with 8 heads I can only use 71 meg. Now with the price I paid for it, 71 meg is still a good deal, but if I can use that extra 9 meg, I'd sure like to know about it. (Note that this is a full height drive, so you've got to provide an external case for it, but the price was right.) -- Blaine Gardner @ Evans & Sutherland 580 Arapeen Drive, SLC, Utah 84108 Here: utah-cs!esunix!blgardne {ucbvax, allegra, decvax}!decwrl!esunix!blgardne There: uunet!iconsys!caeco!pedro!worsel!blaine "Nobody will ever need more than 64K."
