There seems to be a few heavy hitting s/w developers on this line. Perhaps
some of you could offer advice on how to overcome the Amiga s/w
development learning curve.

I'm an experienced C hack and pro programmer. I've had an Amiga for about a
year, and now I'm trying to do some Midi and graphics application development
on the machine. But it ain't that easy! You gotta hunt though gobs of tech
manuals to get an inch. I've got the A-W books and a few others, and the book
by Peck which includes a lot of C source examples (really helps). But is
there is an easier or better way?

Q:
* Does it help to be a certified developer? In what way?
* Is a lot of your time spent in scavenging existing PD source code? What?
* Any recommendations of books other than the A-W books?
* Do you use s/w dev tools like PowerWindows, InnovaTools, others?
* Do you use BIX, or other BBS for s/w libraries? Comments?
* Are there any tool kits for commonly used items (all categories)?
* Did I forget anything?

I think many start-up hackers could benefit from any of your experiences.
Thanks in advance.
