[comp.sys.amiga.tech] Memory boards

I have two hardware projects going through my mind. The first is a small
68000-based computer-on-a-breadboard, driven by the Amiga. This one's
kinda fun.

But I also need to think about memory boards. I'm told that the electronic
considerations are more than someone wants to worry about in a home lab.
Lead capacitance at several MHz becomes a real factor. So -- who wants to
talk about memory boards? How come 2 MHz, unpopulated boards cost as much
as they do? Is it just a matter of charging what the market can bear? Or
is PC board reproduction itself that expensive? Why wouldn't I want to build
my own 2 Meg board for my 500? As anyone out there ever developed their
own memory boards who could give me some clues.

For all it's worth, I can easily do any of the logic circuits I might want.
And I can probably get my "computer" to work at up to a few hundred Hz, maybe
several thousand and do so in fairly short order. So if I can handle the
logic part of it, do I wanna try to build my own memory add-on for my 500?
How about for my little breadboard 68000?
