[comp.sys.amiga.tech] Another Feature Workbench Needs

mp1u+@andrew.cmu.edu (Michael Portuesi) (12/10/88)

Workbench needs a way to tell it to abort an operation in progress.
Right now, Workbench is trying to copy six drawers off the hard disk
onto a disk that developed a media error in the midst of copying.
Workbench insists upon grinding away my disk drive trying to copy
every one of the files in every one of the drawers onto a media
defect, and the only thing I can do about it listen to the noise and
click "Cancel" once every three seconds for the next twenty minutes.
Because I have other tasks running (like this DNet window), I can't
take the other option, which is to reboot the machine.
