[comp.sys.amiga.tech] Multiple serial ports for Amiga.

I saw some postings about people who wanted multiple serial ports.
For the 2000, it is probably best to get a serial port card, when one
becomes availiable. One posibility that will work on any machine, 500,
1000 or any other, is an intelligent device that would plug into your
single port and give you 7 or 8 more. Last week, I found such a
device. There is a BBS local to me that is running multi-user on an
Atari-St. The number for it is: (508) 663-2885 (2400) or (508) 663-
4221 (1200). This guy built the thing himself. He is selling it
for around $250.00 for one with 4 ports and $450.00 for one with 8
ports. The only software for it is for the ST, but he is looking for
an Amiga developer. I am sure that one of you out there is capable
of writing an Amiga driver for it. We could then have SER1: SER2:, etc.

The official Atari BBS in Sunnyvale California is now using his system
and his BBS software. I would like to see an Amiga BBS doing the same
thing. Give him a call if you are interested.
