Is anyone out there running two StarboardII's on an A1000? I am trying and not getting past the workbench screen. The top line on WB tells me I have the expected amount of memory, but when I click on an icon, blamo, up comes the guru. I have an A1000 with TI PAL's, w/o the factory ground on the "divingboard" end of the daughter board. I added big, heavy ground straps from both the PAL end (touching all 4 pals' ground pins) and from the "divingboard" end to the motherboard, to no avail -- same symptoms. Both Starboards pass the memory test with flying colors (actually have 5 starboards to play with, and all pass the mem test). In addition, using just one starboard, I seem to get an occasional guru where I didn't used to, but haven't had enough time to know if it's attributable to the starboard. I used to use a BearBoards with 2 megs, and it (still) works fine. I also have not gotten a Starboard to work with the BearBoards, with the pair in either order off the side of the A1000. Any ideas?? Thanks in advance for any help! Tom Bruhns tomb%hplsla@hplabs.hp.com
