I have a problem. Whilst trying to download the Moebius animation from my Unix system to my Amiga I received a "Disk Error" requester. I tossed the disk, and tried another... same thing. I tried a different drive (both different drives in fact), and several disks. Always the same problem (although at different stages of the download generally after having received from 5 to 60K of the file). The disks were truly corrupted (that is, the system rejected them as unreadable if a reinserted them after the download failure). I have tried to generated such errors simply be copying files back and forth and have been unable to do so. I have, however, had som bizarre video glithching during the warm boot process, and occasionally have seen some trashed icon imagery. My guess is some slightly flaky chip RAM. Does this seem sensible? Any memory testing programs out there that I could use to verify this? Any other suggestions?
