I just received my new ST296N hard drive. Pretty slick, 80 Mb
28 msec access time, half height.
I have one problem. I can't seem to get my Starboard SCSI module
to talk to it. I use the DHMOUNT command with the following:
LC=0 HC=100 BPT=34 S=6 I=1 D=StarDrive.device U=0
and I get a system requestor
'OpenDevice failure for device -- StarDrive.device'
I notice that the drive select light does flash, indicating that it is
at least seeing it's address. The drive select light doesn't flash
when I select U=[1-7].
I'm running an A1000 with a Starboard 2, (2 Mb) + Starboard SCSI module.
I get the same error when using the installation software, or doing
the command by hand.
When using the Mountlist/Mount method, I don't get the error,
but I do get errors every time I try and access the mounted device.
Any clues or ideas would be much appreciated.
Please EMAIL, since my news feed does not appear to be 100% reliable.
