I would like to thanks all those who answered my question either through the net, by I-AMIGA, or by private mail. special thanks goes to CBM people. ( Andy, George - Thanks! ). Well, my A501 clock is now functioning again.. I got a few advises. One was to disconnect the battery for a few seconds, to let the clock fully reset itself. This is what I finally did, and my clock started working again! Christian Blazer ( the software brewery.. ) suggested me to use the 1.2 setclock instead of the 1.3. unfortunately, the 1.2 didn't have the reset option at all! another article by Andy Finkel ( hey Andy, we have almost the same name.. ) explained it all. The 'reset' option in the 1.3 setclock does nothing.. I have found it myself. it even doesn't change the clock Andy, would we see a new 'setclock' before 1.4? I don't think it's a good idead to disassemble my A501 module each time a wild program sets it into it's test mode! I would have written a new 'reset' program myself, if I've know what bits I should set, and at what address. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Udi Finkelstein | Bitnet: finkel@taurus.bitnet or finkel@math.tau.ac.il Tel Aviv University | Internet: finkel%taurus.bitnet@cunyvm.cuny.edu Israel | UUCP: ...!psuvax1!taurus.bitnet!finkel -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
