[comp.sys.amiga.tech] exec

I need help,

I am a beginning 'c' programmer. I am trying to get fexecl() to work but seem
to have problems. I am running Aztek C.

I tried:

fexecl("c:copy","fromfile", "tofile" , 0)

it compiled and linked ok, but when ran, it froze and I couldnt abort the
prgram. the fromfile does exist.

what did I do wrong. The Aztec manual is so cryptic. No examples given either.

I would apreciate any help and an example also.

Also are there any good texts for LEARNING c on the AMIGA. I have
kernighans 'c' book and the 'inside the amiga with c' book. the first
leaves off too soon to go to the 'inside' book. take structures for instance.
the 'inside' book starts out with all these wierd structures that I can't
make heads or tails about, and the Kernighan book barely mentions structures.

What I need is a good book written for the Amiga specifically that takes
me from step uno all the way to the medium advanced stuff.

any body know of any such animal?

Holding my breath....
