[comp.sys.amiga.tech] Genlock 1300

stevel@tybalt.caltech.edu (Steve Ludtke) (01/18/89)

I just got my Genlock (A1300) today from Go Amigo's clearance sale.
It works fine with one exception. According to the manual, when the video
source is removed, it's supposed to revert to normal operation, ie it
generates its own vert/horiz sync signals. Mine doesn't. When I turn off
the VCR or remove the video IN cable, the picture vanishes. The clock
(28 mhz) is still there, because the computer keeps working. There's just
no picture. Am I interpreting the instructions correctly? Should I get a
display under the above circumstances ? If so, does anyone know the name
of an authorized commodore repair place (or suggest what the problem might
be so I can fix it) near Pasadena ? Thanks
