I am trying, unsuccessfully to implement a game that requires fast 2
dimensional scrolling (both horizontally and vertically). The playfield
that I wish to scroll is roughly 4 lo-res screens wide, and 5 screens high.
Obviously, using 5 bitplanes for maximum amounts of color, I won't be able to
just scroll a SuperBitMap. What would be the fastest way to accomplish this?
Any sample code or help would be greatly appreciated. I will be writing the
game in assembly and possibly C, so any specific info on those languages would
be very helpful. Thanks in advance.
