[comp.sys.amiga.tech] progress report on A4th; mailing list status

karl@sugar.uu.net (Karl Lehenbauer) (01/30/89)

I have cooked up sorted vocabulary lists for the A4th kernel, utilities
and editor, by massaging the shadow screen documentation -- an important
step, I think, in getting A4th ready for general distribution.
They're on uunet for FTP from /amiga-sources or uucp from
uunet!~/amiga-sources as a4th.vocdoc.zuu. They have also been forwarded
to the amiga-forth mailing list.

We have decided to merge the A4th mailing list with the existing
amiga-forth list run by Rich Thomson at cs.utah.edu. Send your
request to join to amiga-forth-request@cs.utah.edu,
uunet!cs.utah.edu!amiga-forth-request or {any smarthost}!cs.utah.edu!...
will do. I have aliased the amiga-forth-request on sugar over to
Rich's amiga-forth list mailboxes, so sending to sugar will still work,
but going direct is best as it decreases the number of hops, decreasing
cost and increasing the likelihood of successful delivery of your message.

I have begun work on a tutorial; right now it's about eight pages. If
someone already has one in-the-clear (i.e. no unmanageable copyrights,
etc.), please email it to me or forward it to the list. Still to be
addressed: multitasking bugs.

...see you in the amiga-forth mailing list, then!
