You might get a copy of *Software Tools* by Kernighan and Plauger. There are fairly complete modules defined in there for an editor and text formatter. The book comes in two flavors, the original book uses Ratfor a preprocessed form of fortran (similar to C). The latest version is titled *Software Tools in Pascal* and looks pretty good (I have both but have never read them cover to cover). Wes Ague
