I have received over 60 requests for the plans for the sound digitizer. I attemped to reply to every one of them that I have received to this date, and I think that all but a few have been successful. If you are still waiting to get them, send me another note. I first tried to uuencode a zoo'ed file of the plans myself. However, my version if uuencode was garbage, and it trashed the end of lines. I sent this garbage file to many people, and finaly found out from them that it was garbage. So, I found the original uuencoded file that was sent to me, added my own notes about fixing it to work with an A1000. The plans need some modification to work with the parallel port on an A1000. I procceeded to test upload/download/uudecode the file, and it worked this time. I re-mailed it to most of the people who requested it. Someone asked that I post the plans to the net. I do not think I should do this, as they are near 14 k long. If someone of authority tells me it is OK, I will post them to comp-sys-amiga and comp-sys-amiga-tech. However, if any one person tells me this is not ok, I will not post them. The plans are originaly from Jamie C. Mueller on GEnie, and the included 'read.me' file does not specificaly state distribution limitations. Many thanks to Bob Hruska for sending me the plans, and to Ernie Gorrie, who could very well be a long lost relative. |============================================================================| | (patient) Go ahead doc, tell me the worst. | | (doctor) I'm sorry, but you have MS-DOS... | | (patient) MS-DOS?? ...Maybe I caught it from a toilet seat or something.| | | | Dennis Gorrie (molnarrm at uregina1.bitnet) | |============================================================================|

To Date I have received over 100 requests for the schematics of a simple two-chip sound digitizer. I hope that I succeeded in mailing the uuencoded plans to everyone that asked for them. Some COM sites have been difficult to reach. As I stated in my original posting, I have NOT made the digitizer yet, as I am short of both time and $$. I do however plan to build it real soon now. I am receiving helpful information from those who have already built it. The plans ARE NOT my own, but were sent to me by Bob Hruska, who got them off Genie. The original poster of the Genie file is listed in the documentation. Of particular interest, Ernie Gorrie sent me MORE schematics of yet ANOTHER digitizer. This file was over 50k. However, every attempt to reply to Ernie has failed. Ernie, if you read this, please try again, and maybe give me another ID to mail to. (Hey, do you think we are related?) As you may have noticed, I have changed accounts. I am no longer at (molnarrm at uregina1.bitnet). All mail sent to MOLNARRM has been and will be DELETED, NOT FORWARDED NOR RETURNED by the new user of the account. Please send all e-mail to the new account (LAUL AT UREGINA1.BITNET) If you posted questions to me in comp.sys.amiga, be patient. I spend a lot of time mailing out files, and I am still reading Feb. 7 news. |============================================================================| | (patient) Go ahead doc, tell me the worst. | | (doctor) I'm sorry, but you have MS-DOS... | | (patient) MS-DOS?? ...Maybe I caught it from a toilet seat or something.| | | | Dennis Gorrie (LAUL AT UREGINA1.BITNET) | |============================================================================|
