i am trying to reach Tom Rokicky, author of dfc, this way may be he can help me with the following questions - i tried to modify dfc to be able to format floppies with 9 sects/track. in this way i have an easier way of exchanging info between our UNIX machine and my ami (using it as raw device putting tar-files on it via RDF from Olaf Seibert). i xged the tracksize define to 2x512x9 and the two asm routines to ok look like move.l #35,do i.s.o move.l #43,d0 and the fcmp routine - move.l #2815,d0 to move.l #2303,d0 on top of that a xged the devs/mountlist to see df1: as a 9sects/trk dev when i run this thing i get an error back in the writedata routine indicating an io_Error of 0xfc, which i cant digout of any RKM doc. Could you give me some clue ???? thnx in advance Bastian
