From: James Jones <jejones@Okc-Unix> While you beat on Xerox, take some time also to pound on the people at Rosetta, in Houston TX, who implemented a Smalltalk-like system for the Z-80, and have sat on it--for what reason I don't know. When last I wrote them, they acknowledged my letter, and stated that they were no longer working on Rosetta Smalltalk (as it is called), so in your cards/letters/phone calls, why not suggest that they put it in the public domain? From: Mike Meyer <mwm@Okc-Unix> When I spoke with the authors of Rosetta Smalltalk, they stated that they had decided not to distribute their smalltalk in any form to avoid having multiple flavors of smalltalk on the market when Xerox released Smalltalk-80. They also said that, while Rosetta Smalltalk had gone to beta testing, it was IN NO WAY ready for the public - documentation was nonexistent/poor, and the system was both slow & incomplete; it took wizard level knowledge of the internals to get usefull work done. <mike
