I recently became the owner of a MicroBotics SCSI module. What it is is a NEC SCSI chip and some support. Where the problem comes in is talking to the device. MicroBotics does not include any suggestions on how to send SCSI commands to the device driver so that you can send setup commands to the SCSI device on the other end (an OMTI controller). Does anyone out there have any suggestions? Is it time to attempt to disassemble the device driver? /* Jim Hutchison {dcdwest,ucbvax}!cs!net1!hutch */

Matt Dillon has done exactly what you want. It used to be avaialble by FTP from ucbvax.berekeley.edu, but it's not there any more. You might want to send Matt mail and ask about the details, if he hasn't already seen this discussion thread and helped you already. -- Michael Portuesi / Information Technology Center / Carnegie Mellon University INET: mp1u+@andrew.cmu.edu / BITNET: mp1u+@andrew UUCP: ...harvard!andrew.cmu.edu!mp1u+ "You just don't get off a spaceship and run." --Avon
