Hi, it's me again. Thanks for the response to my previous message. Everyone said, pull out the two autoboot eproms, and I did, and the computer booted up. However, I have another problem now. I'm having trouble mounting dh0:! I suspect it has something to do with it looking for "hddisk.device" and not finding it. I looked for it, and couldn't find it, so I assume it's in rom somewhere? When I did the actual mount command, it worked fine, but I couldn't change into the dh0: directory... Also, my hard drive is whining with these really high pitch noises for no reason!! Can someone explain what the hddisk.device is, where it is, and why my dh0: won't mount? I'm pretty sure i pulled out the right eproms. I pulled out the two that say "hi" and "low" on the 2060a controller... Thanks.

You need to have hddisk and hddisk.info in the expansion directory of your workbench diskette. These can be found in the harddisk directory on the 2090 Hard Disk Software diskette. Hddisk is the disk-based equivalent of the device driver found in the ROMs which you had to remove from the 2090A. -- ======================================================================== Joe O'Hara || Comments represent my own opinions, Commodore Electronics Ltd || not my employers.
