Commdore uses rodimes in some A2500's, I think. If it concerns you, you can probably have someone look at it. On another (and sadder) note, I seem to be having a problem with my A2500, that I can't quite put my finger on. I am hoping someone can help me pinpoint it. The symptoms are as follows: 1. While attempting to create a new directory (from WB), I was blessed by a visit from the guru (he told me that I had issued an illegal instruction!), and Amy took a nap. When I rebooted, I found the directory.info file, but no directory. Hmmm. 2. Later (same day), while cleaning up some icons (again from WB), I got another visit, this time indicating corrupted memory (I don't remember the exact meditation number on this one). 3. While using Deluxe Paint III (I had just started fiddling with AnimPainting), I got several (and I mean SEVERAL) errors that read (approximately): DFree error: memory smashed! Not exactly a comforting message. Upon exiting (which I did quickly), I found that my free memory was down more than 20K. Reboot, and everything appears normal again. 4. Lately, whenever I open any kind of window over (meaning completely covering) a disk icon's window, or if I open a new screen (custom or WB) while a disk's icon is displayed, there is a 50/50 chance that when I close the window/screen the 'E' and 'F' gadgets (are they gadgets?) from the disk's icon are GONE. The bar indicating the capacity of the disk is still there, but it just has blue above and below it. As soon as I drag the window anywhere, it gets refreshed, and the problem is gone. Now, am I losing it here, or is there something amiss with my 2500? I have tried to keep the system as generic as possible at startup, so I don't load anything unusual (I just resident a few CLI commands). Other than that, and having a 1020 5 1/4" connected as df3: (but not mounted), there is nothing I can see that is abnormal in my setup.
