[comp.sys.amiga.tech] Connecting a 68881 to your standard 68000

dizzy@freja.diku.dk (John Bach Jensen) (04/13/89)

Is there anyone in netland who knows, if it is possible to connect a 68881 to
an A1000 with a 68000 processor. It would be nice if it was compatible with the
1.3 math. library.
I have a lot of pictures to raytrace, but I really don't have the cash to buy
a 68020/68881 board (SIGH).

Thanks in advance.

Microbotics makes a "Multifunction Module" for StarboardII that, among
other things, has a socket for a 68881. I don't know about compatibility
with 1.3 math libs; I believe you get math libs with the mfm. It would
certainly be _possible_ to hack one in, also, but I assume that's not what
you had in mind...
