Okay, since somebody came back with answers so quickly for
the first superman trivia quiz, how about a general comic
book trivia quiz? Lets see how you do on this one:

I. DC comic books

1. What are the secret identities of Batman and Robin? What
   relationship is there between Batman and Robin? Give the
   origin of Robin. What is Batman's Aunt's name? What is the
   secret identity of Batgirl?

2. What is the secret identity of the Flash? What is the secret
   identity of Kid Flash? What relationship is there between
   the Flash and Kid Flash? What are the origins of the Flash
   and Kid Flash?  Who is the so-called Reverse Flash? What
   relation is he to Flash?

3. Who is the Green Arrow? What was the name of his sidekick ('hero'
   name and real name)? Why did he stop being Green Arrow's sidekick?
   Who is Green Arrow currently involved romantically with? What
   is her real name?

4. What is the real name of the Martian Manhunter? What is he vulnerable
   to? What special powers does he have?

5. Besides kryptonite, what else is Superman vulnerable to?

6. Who is the Green Lantern? How does he get his powers? What is his
   origin? What 'society' does he belong to, and who are the founders?
   What is the name of his former sidekick? What weakness does his
   power possess? Why?


II. Marvel Comics

1. The Fantastic Four consists of Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Girl, Human
   Torch, and the Thing. What are their real names? What is the name
   of Mr. Fantastic's and Invisible Girl's son? Who took Invisible Girl's
   place while she was pregnant? Who is the Thing's girlfriend? Who was
   the Human Torch's girlfriend for a long time, and who did she marry?

2. What is Spiderman's secret identity? What is his aunt's name? His
   uncle's? Who was he engaged to? Why didn't he marry her? How many
   different people assumed the role of the Green Goblin, and who
   were they? What was the link between them? Who was the editor of
   the newspaper Spiderman worked for? What was the name of the paper?
   
3. Give the names (both) of the original X-Men. Give the names (both)
   of the new X-Men. Which of the old X-Men became new X-men? Which
   superhero groups did the other 'old' X-men join?

4. Give the names of the original Avengers. Who are the current
   members? Which former enemies of the X-men later became Avengers?

5. What is Captain America's real name? Who was his sidekick during
   WWII? How did he die? How did Capt. America survive until the
   present? What was Capt. America's origin?

6. What is the Hulk's real name? What is the origin of the Hulk?
   What other superbeings in Marvel comics got their powers  the
   same way? Who was the Hulk's sidekick? Who did he later become
   the sidekick of? What superhero did he later 'share' existence
   with?



That's enough for the moment. There is enough trivia in comicdom
to fill up several volumes (and already has!). Most of these
trivia questions are 'trivial' to anyone who's been reading comics for
the past few years. If there is enough interest in this kind of
trivia, maybe we could swap questions directly, or start a new
newsgroup, such as net.trivia.comics, or net.games.trivia.comics,
or even net.comics.
