I've had my Lattice C compiler since I bought my Amiga way, way back.
Lattice has consistently provided excellent support. On one occasion I
wrote them about a problem because their tech support line was busy and I
hadn't learned my way around their BBS. The day they got my letter I
received a telephone call which (1) answered my question about the
compiler, (2) explained what I needed to know about the BBS, and (3)
promised the dispatch of the latest compiler version.

There are two levels of upgrades for Lattice compilers. New versions have
numbers which increase by 1 or more (e. g. v3 to v4 to v5). You have to pay
for these upgrades. I've paid about $75 for each of them. In between new
versions Lattice issues patches to correct bugs. These patches cause the
version number to increase by less than 1 (e. g. v5.0 to v5.02). These
updates are free. Generally you have to call the Lattice BBS and download
them. The Lattice BBS is free to all registered owners of their products,
but you have to pay for the call. The number is in the Chicago area.
